The cost calculation runs in the background with real-time progress. The deviation of actual from planned cost is split between products in stock and products already sold, so the margin is based on real numbers.

Frequently asked questions
When is the actual cost calculated?
At period close. Until then, products are carried at planned cost from the bill of materials.
Can it be recalculated after a correction?
Yes. When an administrator reopens a closed period, a cascade recalculation starts.
